Kirsty Smith
Clinician
Kirsty graduated from Queen Margaret University with a Degree in Podiatry with Distinction. She holds registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and is a fully insured member of the College of Podiatry (COP).
She is committed to providing the highest standard of care and to continuing to develop skills and professional knowledge.
Kirsty gained extensive experience in dealing with high risk patients across five NHS Borders community podiatry clinics. Caring for patients with complex medical conditions affecting the feet. In particular the care and management of patients with health conditions predisposing them to foot complications such as Diabetes, Vascular disorders, Osteoarthritis and Rheumatoid arthritis.
Currrent Practice
In 2014 Kirsty purchased the old church hall at Cranstoun with the aim of converting it into a modern state of the art clinical space for podiatric treatments. The Clinic opened in November 2015 –’The former church hall was restored in 2015 to create a modern Wellbeing Clinic. At least in part restoring the purpose of the building to its former community use.
